The impact of fuel pricing.

Postby Bennie Vorster » Sat May 24, 2008 2:12 pm

Have any of you been influenced by the rise in fuel pricing.
i.e. The impact it have on the flying hours practising circuits and landings.
 The impact it have on flying for breakfasts at other strips.
 The impact it have on attending flyins.
 The impact it is having on the second hand market.
And last but not least  How fuel pricing will have an impact on the safety and accident stats in this industry. :? :? :?
Growing old is far more dangerous than flying !!!

Nee wat Bennie.

Jy weet wat maak mens as die prys van kos opgaan ?

Koop minder kos. :?

As die prys van bier opgaan ?

Koop nog minder kos. s079

As die prys van petrol opgaan ?

Koop NOG minder kos.

....maar minder vlieg. -xX

Nou stem ek saam met jou Priester....

Eet minder en vlieg net soveel of meer!

The rising cost of one crucial item should not effect the balance of others...

Plan, Plan & re - Plan but stay in the air!

For sale - 50 L of the best unleaded. Free trike with purchase of the fuel

Seriously though, the cost of fuel must be having an effect. Lets face it - recreation and hobbies is always the first to suffer from tighter belts.

My airfield is 65KM from home and 75 KM from work which makes it 140km travel to go flying. I am certainly going to feel the pinch, I am at the hanger at least 4 to 5 days a week, some weeks 7 days if the wx is good. - 560 km to 980 km travelled per week to fly. Then there is flying fuel costs as well......

Guess my Mrs overseas holiday will have to be changed to an " Over the Vaal Dam" flight with no onboard service
