Dankie vir die foto Boet.

Dit lyk regtig goed, en ek glo dit maak 'n enorme verskil.
My terminologie laat my in die steek.

Boet. Have you considered using foam profiles and glassing them the way Morph did on his Explorer? The result was excellent (and they passed his inverted dynamic wing load test  )

No. The Morphman chickened out with those fancy profiled polystyrene foam profiles. He batteled for a while, then gave it up for a bad job. Having gone down the same road, I know why he battled :!: You have to use Epoxy resin= rather thin and runny, and takes long to cure. Polyester resin dissolves the foam. It takes a LOT of skill and patience to do the fairings this way. I did 4 or 5 aeries this way, then gave it up when a better idea sprang up. WOOD: the old BB`s had wood fairings, but that was not available any more, so I just had to make my own plan. The wood is easier to work with, and make the lift strut tubes a LOT stiffer. Covered with glassfibre, and finished with microballons it is easier to obtain a nice finnish. BUT it is still a LOT of work. vhpy

Griffin, if I could have done Morph`s lift struts, before he had boo boo, for sure he would not have to buy new lift struts as well..... vhpy

  You are right Boet. Checked my photographs. It was a set of extruded struts on another plane I was thinking of not Morphs. It is sad when the mind goes. What were we taking about ???

The Xplorer project has now ground to a halt. Waiting for the owners..... Using the time to finish the spray-booth, and some other projects I am busy with. Hard to ignore that nice piece of clockwork. Touch it every time I walk past it!!!! vhpy

I want to replace the current caliper brake system on my Bushbaby ZU-BTB with hydraulic brakes.

Where do I start?

Daar was darem vandag weer so n bietjie beweging by die Radial enjin Explorer. 2 grasgroen brommers het op die Rotec se planetary gearbox housing gesit en kokke ei.
