Need some advice on prop pitch 63"31 with gearbox 2.58:1 current.
I fly a scout 503 dcdi with stream wing....the problem is as follows
1)Running full rpm 6600 from take off.
2)Climb out at about 150 f/p/m

3)When in the cruise i have to maintain full rpm to stay airborn and for this reason by brand new comms

Pilot weight about 85 kg,pax about 80 kg and fuel load about 30 litres
Was advised that wing is "dead" can't get comment from the pro's in that field. Some better comments was that the prop pitch is way to fine and it does not create thrust.
My question is???
1) To what safe length prop can I go or buy the same length but change pitch
2)What is a good pitch to run i.c.w. the length.
My previous windlass had about a 72" prop and had climb rate of about 500 f/min
Will appreciate any help :D :D
Oh... did try phone Peter de Necker but he is out of town.
