I would keen PPL. With new part 61 it may be worth something in future and will be difficult to get back. You can fly any of the 3 axis jobs with PPL. Just get convex with PPL instructor (which may be a problem in some cases) or do a convex to MPL (I did in 5hrs) and fly on both MPL and PPL. Painful but can be done.

Also try Alexi at Cheetah Factory. They may have a demonstrator available?
Baps, Sr and Microland may also be options?

Can also try Armand at Eagles Creek?
PS
Can fly anything (3axis) on PPL. I am told only certain hrs "count", but I have yet to have that confirmed? Many guys are doing Comm hrs on Jab's, Cheetah's etc.

I know the guys at FASI have a Motor Falke (35hp VW type motor glider). It is a slow go nowhere fast type, but if you can land that you can land anything. Costs (Full price) <R250/hr... Excellent trainer and hour builder. Try Paul S or Russel Dold from EAA. I think they both have a share in it.

Cubby may become available from FABB during next year as soon as I have "paid" off the maintenance in hrs...
