Yes they mostly now use higher performance trikes like the Quik GT450 and the Quik with 912's in the training schools in the Uk. The main reason they have found that they are able to instruct for longer hours in a month due to the bigger weather flying window.
Kind of makes sense

I smell a business opportunity here on the Highveld. Surely with our climate during both summer and winter it would then make sense to utilise these aeries for training? I have often read posts on this forum that the previous generation of trikes are limited to a very narrow window of flying time thus reducing the available teaching hours?BIG-G wrote:In response to an earlier comment on this thread.

What's the current "fly-away" price from Big G in RSA - all in (plus or minus a few variables)?
Yip - you guessed it - been thinking about one for a while now.

In fact, ever since I saw them at Cato - plus the back-up (your case) is good.
