Thanks everyone who greeted me into the site. In a way everyone is right about our area, cold winters but rarely below freezing in nelson, lots of snow in the mountains, not a lot of flying in winter, great skiing, incredible scenery, many South Africans living here. Now summer is different, not many rotors at all and winds are just something you adapt to, Cessna or ultralight. Overall I am totally envious of your of your flying terrain and weather!!! After 35 years of flying all kinds of fixed wing planes I am discovering trikes and have bought a 38' diesel pusher motorhome with long trailer, enough to carry the Apache Sport trike and wing and then we are planning to travel north or south to find flying areas as far as Mexico and Alaska. There is a group called the Sky Gypsies
