Flew about 1 hr today, challenging my fear of runway 20. It is a short, narrow, uphill runway, limited go-around space, in the rotor of a hill and forest, and we only use it if the X-wind is too strong for 24.
Didn't actually land on it,

but when I took of the possibility was pretty good

. Although I have landed on it quite often, I am still scared of it!
It was not too strong today, about 10 knots, but very gusty,(gusts up to 18kt) and I really don't like that wind direction.

NE cross I can handle, no probs, but something about the SE just seems to make me nervous. When the oportunity presents itself, I have to challenge this.
So today I practiced gusty x-wind take-offs and landings on 24, and I am starting to think that maybe I can do the 20kt cross wind on Runway 20 after all!
