If it wasn' t for the curvature of the earth the Cessna 150/2 would not get off the ground

Gr8-dad and myself flew one from Nooitgedagcht to Vredendal. Very intersting and long long long long (did I say long) take off run

I had a demo/intro flight in a 150 and almost did not do license as result. It is not made for 2 SA built oukes up on reef.  esp if a couple craps behind and couple meals ahead. I am told they are a pleasure to fly at the coast.

I must say though that closest I have been to it in one of the new generation aeries was the X299 (Technam PS2002 - the low wing job). Not comfortable when you are used to 1500 ft per min as normal ops....

Even at the coast you REALY need to know your density altitude stuff with the 150

Once airborne an absolute beaut to fly :P . Hard to spin and she recovers hands-off  Ideal trainer though.

When you push the throttle forward its like turning up the volume on the radio, lot's of noise but not much else.
