Re: Event Organisers & Safety Officers Take Note
Well done to Raasa and putting on an informative event. The impressive highly experienced volunteer presenters from Brigadiers, Generals, display pilots, authorities on legislation, jets and choppers e.t.c. and not least the catering for the participants.
Certainly have a better understanding and awareness of the timelines and requirements, pitfalls and risk of organising an event.
Good to meet up with flying and drinking mates. Also nice to fly into a pleasant controlled airport like Rand.
And no, you do not need Raasa or other approval to organise a recreational fly-in, fly -away breakfast or nav rally whilst the pilots are exercising their limits and privileges of their licence as long as no one is displaying or advertising to attract paying or passive public.
