Trikes are unique aircraft. There are no flaps, rudders, ailerons, elevators, sticks or yokes. When you fly a trike your arms are directly linked to the wings. The wind buffets your face and hands, you feel every movement in the wing right on your fingertips....and in turbulence right down your spine! It's like pilot and plane are one being. It literally feels like YOU are flying through the air...not sitting in a machine. Like a Knight and his faithful steed.

The profound sense of loss when you stare at your broken aerie is quite overwhelming (and I'm not talking about money here)... like I'm attending the funeral of good friend.
Dont worry... I'm not losing the plot.

I know we will find another plane and undoubtedly form the same bond again.... but it really is a wierd feeling.

"Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly."
