I did some enjin failure on take-off practice [no wind so did it on both 02/20, one after other], and confirmed that I can make a complete and safe return to my takeoff point if the failure occurs at 600ft AGL. My question is, since it is usual practice (for me) to hold in the bar to build up airspeed once airborne, and knowing that I will only be able to turn back once at 600ft AGL, does it not make sense to get that altitude as soon as possible, ie - watch airspeed and go for maximum climb rate of approx 1000ft/min?
What do the instructors here say?
