Good day the forum.
Remember me? I’m the aspirant pilot that is on the wrong side of 50 and complained that it seemed as if he couldn’t get the grips of this flying thing.
Well, it finally happened.

With the support I got from you guys and of course my instructor and personal at my training centre, I kept my head down and battled through those brick wall

periodes. Not that I was always successful, but what the heck!

You wont believe me....every thing is exactly as every body said. Things just started to fall in place

. You don’t have to force the sequince..it happens. The trike is gentle yet eager to fly with only one up. Radio procedures just automatically happens as if someone else is still doing it

. Cross wind , left down wind for 23....left base 23 and then

....final approach.. My first, ever (and last) solo final approach for runway 23.
Guru’s voice echoes in my head....keep up your airspeed, ....line up,...watch your decent path and anticipate were you are going to touch down. All these actions build on proper downwind and base leg checks. (any body ever heard of B U N A ? Brakes of, undercarriage checked, nose wheel strait, altitude. It works like a charm.)
The trike (Aquilla 508) is reluctant to loose height ..... back with the bar..... ease of the power ....keep airspeed and watch the approach path turbulence . Now for the perfect round out... Oooops !

a bit to late... airspeed on the high side. Touch down followed by a balloon, but Douglass Bader

of the Swartland gently eases her down for a greaser!

Two landings for the price of one!
Ek hoef seker nie vir julle te vertel dat ek nog steeds teer op my 14 dae smile nie :D :D :D :D . Dankie vir al die gelukwense van my “Flying buddiesâ€Â. I also thank God

for the privillage to be able to participate in something so fantastic as “Flying a trikeâ€Â.
Now for the real learning process, of wat se ek alles Guru?
