You have a 582 right?

It looks like you have 582 needle jet but 503 main jet. If it is a 582 your main jet is too small and thus running lean and hot
So instead of all of us actually believing the EGT's we assumed they were faulty. Meantime, it actually is the wrong jet size. Lesson learned. Is it possible that these carbs were taken off a 503 and installed onto the 582? The main jet size and the clip position seem to indicate so
