Not entirely true. Chromoly steel is stronger than mild steel. This means to save weight you can reduce the thickness of the tubes. But is is also hellishly expensive hence why the kit costs R300K as opposed to the BB Explorer kit being R115K.skybound® wrote:I think the major component difference between the KF and BB is the material used for the frame. This is not true you can by Chromoly from Placo at Wonderboom airport and Placo at Rand airport. Chromoly is not something out of space they used it to make bicycles so there is no special processes.
