Petit flying club revived - grumpy old men is back

This saturday due to the initiative of Theuns and Brett and a couple of other guys some of the active pilots at petit airfield got together and the Petit flying club (also known as the grumpy old men) has been revived. A committe has been selected and there has been a couple of good ideas for possible events and activities. The aim is to put Petit airfield and it's pilots back on the map. The focus is on getting more flying active. There are roughly 85 aircraft at petit of which some 45 is microlights and we want to see the guys more active. There will also be fly-in events hosted etc.etc so watch this space.
There are some interesting aircraft at the field and a couple of really nice restoration projects. Just some of them of the top of my head - there is an aircoupe, a Wilga, a Storch, a chipmunk and a fairchild 24 all of those in just one hangar.

In case you don't know - petit can be found here S26 05.095 E28 23.401 it is 1200m of grass.
The Airfield Frequency is 133.20 and all circuits are to be done towards the east of the field as the west side is on the border of the OR Tambo int. CTR. The runway orientation is 03 with right hand circuits and 21 with left hand circuits.

Powerlines on the approach to 21. No obstructions on 03.
Call traffic and join at 6500' overhead. Circuit altidude is 6300'. Field altidude is 5480'
