Argument leads to understanding, appreciation for others view point and eventually peace or equilibrium of sorts. It is a natural cycle - just as recession is followed by economic growth, peace follows from war.

I will often pick an argument to try and understand how other's think or give them opportunity to convince me of their understanding. There be one really important rule however - never play the man - but play the facts to your hearts desire.

STOP

Please stop this "them" and "us" sh!t. It does not exist unless we want it to. We are all GA aviators and until we all pull together to unify our sport we are going to have problems. So what if I fly "garden furniture with a lawn mower" and some-one else flies a "tin can"?? Everything is relative to income and desire.

You'd be suprised at the number of ppls who started on trikes and there amazement at how the latest models offer the same as what they struggle to pay for to get in the air. Some of these okes are consuming R150.0 per hour in the air.

The guys who actively fly all seem very social with no hang-ups and the ones most down to earth are the treetop crop dusters.

It's the tyer kickers and 'Oh can't fly, just opened a beer' armchair brigade and the 'scrap collector/ rebuilders -but never do' hangar hoggers who don't add value. :)

Yip, those are the 10%-ers I reffered to. Anyway, I wasn't hoping to create a "them and us". I was only pointing out the small minority who have a habit of messing up a posting.

It is however not easy to follow a constructive post like the missing C206, and then BANG I have to start dredging through the non-constructives. I will work on it, promise. I have a very good pshychiatrist who listens well ! vhpy vhpy

Lastly, as proof that I am not a "them and us" man, I think Brits Flying Club is a good example of how all types of flyers blend in. Gyro's, Whirlies, Blik, Serious Blik, Trikes, Experimental and aerotowing sailplanes all seem to have the ability to share the same circuit. And so there are lots and lots of other similar airfields and pilots that I know off. Good on you 90%-ers.

Mmmmm. And it took a MICROLIGHT to achieve what they could not, even with all their expensive equipment :?: Probably what you will say next. We are all aviatore. some likeable, some less so. Love the likeable ones and tolerate the ones less so. Reprimand the recless ones, and set an good example yourself, maybe then and ONLY then we will help make the skies a safer place. (^^)

Most of the 10 percenters can be easily identified by their spelling........ vhpy

Example: "They didn't listen to there (their) teacher during spelling classes"........and
"perhaps they should of (should have) payed (paid) more attention, but I think they must of (must have) been thinking of flying instead"

P$#^&sses me off when they try to come across as intellectuals but give their age away by the way they spell

It's a sign of the times..........ever since they became Learners and stopped being Pupils..
Airspeed, altitude, or brains....you always need at least two
