Lichtenburg trip

Postby t-bird » Wed Jan 14, 2009 8:17 pm

My first trip in 2009 was from Summit (FAGC) – Lichtenburg
After take off East of Lanseria’s airspace with radiation hill in the back ground

Then over the Jukskei river

Routed around Lanseria past Hartbeeshoek tracking station. You can see the satellite dishes in the back ground

Through the Southern Magaliesburg ridge

Halfway between Magaliesburg and Lichtenburg

The weather started to change on the way with huge Cumulus building. It rained when I landed. Look at drops on the wind screen.

The return flight was a breeze. Airspeed 79 mph groundspeed 99 mph.
