Ballito Flyers - Spoiled Vacation !

Postby pietmeyer » Tue Dec 16, 2008 12:49 pm

Hi Guys

Just a request from one pilot to another. We are currently on vacation at Salt Rock just north of Ballito. Wile sitting on the beach, two microloights ZU-DEG and ZU-DZS repeatedly buzzed over us at fairly low level.
I have taken multiple photos of these two trikes. My neck is strained from watching you go up and down the beach. With tears, no sorry, sand in my eyes, I am asking you. Please be considerate to all of us and when flying low level over the beach, refrain from smiling and please pretend that you are not having a good time at all. Please ask your pasangers not to smile and keep their exitement at bay untill out of sight of us poor folk on the beach. This is not a golf course so please more low level and less fun for our sake. I left my license at home and promised my wife some quality time with the family.

I am tempted to sneak out one morning to Balito flying club, of course to complain for the early noises of tikes buzzing over the caravan park vhpy

By the way, stand number 19 Salt Rock caravan park. Please fly lower so I can see who I have to go and complain too vhpy

Have fun but not too much for our sake

Regards
p.s Let me know if you need another pilot to come and help out (^^)

You know Piet,

I feel sorry for you, imagine having too sit on a beach 8) , enjoying the sun and surf... then having a couple of trikes buzz the beach...... what a shame...... (**) (**)

Wish I was one of the trikes buzzing you ## ##

I know of a certain aviator (anxiously waiting to get his Cobra in the air), that will be on a short little break, not far from us, next week.

I feel it necessary that we go buzz him early one morning (^^) (^^)

Hi pietmeyer

I object to your biased comment regarding those poor aviators who just want to enjoy themselves. I suggest that you take off to the nearest golf course immediatly and give the nearest golfer a klap just in case he complains.(not a red trike.is it?)
How dare you take reg no's just to have a go at them. So just sit on your sand castle and admire poetry in motion.

Piet, Why dont you come up to the club anyway or at least have a coffee with us at the factory at Compensation, see how the Air Magic toys are made and see whats happening for next years production, drink coffee and talk about lying on the beach..Take the ballito off ramp and cross the highway, turn to Compensation station we are the in the orange block.

While sitting on my sand castle, watching the poetry in motion, I came to the conclusion that I would rather be flying. I will definitely stop by Zulu1 to check out the new stuff. Seeing that I just added an Air Magic system to my Raptor, it would be a good idea to just see where it all came from.
Wind in my face is just so much better than sand up my arse but the latter still better than being at work.

Seeing that it is bothering the family so much, you will have to go and file a paper of some sort (CHARt  or is it map) to sort out this little issue.

And who knows how low they really went? Perhaps you need to do a check ride just to make sure that you got the elevation correct...

Bret

thanks for the invite. Will give you a call. Sounds great. the problem is that my wife loves flying just as much. She said that it is unfair for me to go fly and not her. Maybe I can ask you to take her for a flip first. Will give you a call later today

Thanks

While you are flying around Ballito, remember that us poor sods are still working our asses off to pay the bills  . So don't get carried away with the flying sh#t until I get to Port Edward on Saturday, when I will be visiting Vernon and maybe get into the air as well. Then I can also sit at my caravan and look toward the sky and do posts on the forum and piss the guys off back home..........Can't wait! ^

What i normally do is sit on the beach with a radio and ask "OFFENDING" aircraft to make a single orbit overhead. Gets the kids happy and i also feel a bit better after speaking to the pilot.
