Rudix and I did a trip up sort of North to Zebula lodge.
Awsome is the only word worthy of the description. Rudix had to chase the Zebra and Blouwildebeest from the runway and we followed in tur for a what we had a 55 min flight from Rhino to Zebula. As we did not have the phone number for the clubhouse it was a brisk 5 min walk maybe a few more but the breakfast made up for it, and the amount of very good looking ladies made up even more.
The trip back was uneventful and a few beers went down well after the trip
Rudi please add some pix bru.

Re: Zebula Lodge
Yes, an amazing place !
Zebula is well worth a visit, we are thinking of going back and making a weekend of it. It is only 82 miles from Rhino with some nice bushveld along the way.
A few photos from this morning.

Patchwork on the way to Zebula.

The runway, as Agent said I just had to chase the Zebra away

Agent and Peter coming in for a VERY smooth landing.

And taxiing to their parking spot.

We shared the parking with some blik.

Some nice houses !

Cleaning staff (or security?) on duty !
Thanks for inviting me along Agent, it was fun and the beers afterwords were GREAT !
Fly safe,
Rudi

Re: Zebula Lodge
Its truly an awesome place with a magic golf course as well. The house closest to the runway in the pic above (next to the hanger) is mine and I am selling off shares. Anyone interested PM me for details.

Yes, you can fly in anytime. If you don't feel like the walk to the restaurant give them a call once you have landed and they will come and fetch you and later take you back to your plane. The people are very friendly and helpful.Stephan van Tonder wrote:So can one just fly in without prior notice and have brekkie?. What are the co-ordinates.
The co-ordinates are S24 44.800 E27 57.900
Nice 1.4km tar runway, just to a runway inspection before you land as there are no fences to keep the animals off the runway.
