Re: 'CONTIES' - DISASTER RELIEF Fundraiser
Hi guys,
there is about R24K in the conties relief fund but we don't have the latest bank statement. I recommend we keep it going and perhaps sell more tickets at the Microlighters ball, before doing the draw?
The results of the meeting are as follows
Those at Conties who lost their hangars have a choice. Either to rebuild at Conties or move to Morning Star. If they choose to move Morning Star the WCMC commitee will donate the land (normaly R15K for the plot). We have plans for a 3 X 3-xis hangar with partitions, that works out at R36K per section.
Those who wish to stay at Conties may do so and they will receive the money split in equal share. This decision was made by those affected at Conties. Some of the hangar owners have donated their share to those members whose planes were completely destroyed and were not covered by any insurances
On behalf of the Commitee of the Western Cape Microlight Club, and the Members of Contermanskloof Flight Park, I would like to thank all those who have donated towards this cause.

Hi Uncle Spud,
Thanks for reply. You guys are making an incrediable effort to help your fellow flyers. If you extend to the Microlight Ball maybe try one or two auctions of something, ie signed Rugby shirt , 1 years subs to African Pilot, something that takes the pressure off the raffle tickets, but brings in some needed cash. Just a thought
No Zim Bank cant handle large amounts, thats why we have learnt from flying to always have an alternate to steer to, in this case PAVEMENT BANKING,rates not bad and no forms to fill out, service is instant and with a smile!!!!!

Mr Morph, we need to decide if we do the draw at your next meeting or at the Ball.? Any ideas? You will have to get us a list of names from the bank statement to put into the 'hat'.

Do it at the BALL.....
It gives some of us the chance still to buy a ticket you know and be present when lucky number slevin gets pulled out of the hat!

I reckon we do the draw at the party. we need to mention at the meeting next week that tickets are still available for both the raffle and the partyGrumpy wrote:Mr Morph, we need to decide if we do the draw at your next meeting or at the Ball.?
