Cool Pics Dreman 8)
The landing looked a lot smoother than it felt, rock and roll and a lot of sink on finals
Going to Henley earlier we had a stiff tailwind, clocked 100mph + groundspeed :o
Next time you should jump in the back with one of us and take a few air to air pics

I would be happy to do that, Andrew and I were talking and so few people have a portfolio of themselves and their aircraft. Most people have a few they have taken from the plane or of other people.

I would be happy to do it for you guys. Some shots from the ground and then air to air.

Hi Dre'man,

I missed you yesterday, took off at 05:45, was planning to be back before 8 but had a longer than planned stop, or should I say STUCK over at Oranjeville
The runway looked a bit moist so I did a precautionary and decided that it looked OK, wrong decision (**)
While there was still lift on the wing the trike ran fine but when it slowed down to about 20mph the wheels picked up turf which got stuck between the spats and the wheels which brought me to a sudden stop
To make a long story short, I had to remove the spats to get the wheels to turn and then took off next to the runway in the grass and only got back to Circus at 9.
Good lesson learned though...if it looks wet, it is probably wet and you will get stuck :)

All of this after I polished CRC on Friday, and had to do it all over again yesterday :?

Cheers,
Mike.

Circus is on the R59 going towards Vereeniging, just past the blockhouse Engen 1 stop.Turn off at the Randvaal exit.

There is a huge Circus tent :) you can't miss it, very useful for putting windsocks on top of.
