Gert, they did not slap us with a CENT! In fact, they actually invited us to go and i must say, we were received with open arms as well. It is NOT open for us yet, but they are working on that. Thing is, if the guys behave, fly the circuit right, no low level playing around the patch etc i think we might be welcome there in near future. Lets wait and see. Sure is a very nice place to fly to and i tell you, as some of them think we are not nice guys and we think the same of some of them, the people we met there on the day were marvelous guys. Nobody made a silly comment about us being there at all. Only thing i heard was "THIS is something new!".

(^^) to Waaier, after been fueled and feathered with it's pink and orange wing BAO took to the sky on Sunday for the first time at the hands of it's new owner. Waaier bought the Aerotrike a few months ago, then meticulously refurbished the whole plane from top to bottom, looking brand spanking new when it took off from Wintervogel 26 for a short flip. Congratulations Francois and safe and happy flying.

Bacchus,

Dirk and myself flew there during the week (a month ago), got the cold shoulder in the clubhouse, then when we left this guy comes up to us and asked R40 landing fee per trike. I declined, but prepared myself to pay 3/10th of the fee since I did not use all of the strip when they sue me.

FASH makes me think of those days in our dark past, when those who were of a different hue from us were welcome in the church (back pew please) on the master's wedding or at his funeral only. We are welcome at FASH, well uhm, at family days, fly-ins and for the rest, bugger off or pay. Been like this for years, will remain like this.

Maybe it is just me (and Dirk).

Gert,

Maybe nothing to do with you. I still think that it is because I taxied over their precious grass to park my aerie next to that "Aircraft" that made them angry. I am guilty of not reading my NOTAMS, but you are guilty of not telling me the house rules.

But yes, We did not even receive a smile that day. Not even from the chicks!! (**) (**) What is the world coming to.

Maybe they rehearsed the part of shrek I where Lord Farquard said: "What on earth is that?? It's hideous!!".

Lets organize a day with them, and then we show them how to fly a decent circuit. (^^) (^^)

I wonder, if you land on the grass do you pay landing fees? I wonder, if you do a perfect circuit and do a go-around, will they post you a circuit fee? s077

I think it is time to invite them for breakfast at morning star and those that can achieve the landing with all the new frequency changes will be accepted as fellow pilots

Yes, But the certified okes is very scared of wintervogel and morningstar. Wintervogel mainly due to them not sure how their aircraft will handle the surface, and because they have never landed there, they don't know what the surface is like. Morningstar, yes well, they only see the trees, and them just fly by.

But hey, we can always try.

Hi Bluemancoops, ATF in the post!! We can start to arange that fly in to saldanha for breakfast!!
