Thanks for everyone's support.
As soon as I can get a flight set up I will let you know how it went. I know that I can fly the plane, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. I did a similar test three years ago, no problem. Just to co-ordinate the weather/instructor/pilot/location and aircraft may take some time! vhpy vhpy
I'm looking forward to those fly-ins :)

Jana, how about taking lots of photographs and writing an article for one of the aviation magazines?
You inspire us all and I for one would dearly love to share the experience with you somehow.
Best wishes and kind regards

I know what you mean about getting all the stars lined up. Good luck with your MPL. I take my hat off to you, you show more guts than what I have seen in a long time.

I have been trying to get my MPL since 1997. When I had the time, I did not have the money.
When I had the money I did not have the time.
I have had many Instructors. I have had instruction on 3 Continents, in both the Northern and Southern hemisphere.
Now I have my own trike. For the last 3 months I have been driving almost 700km one way, at every chance I get, to get to my instructor.
Between my work commitments, his scheduling and the weather, I have received 9 hrs of "extra" instruction.
See I am waiting to go solo but the weather has not been playing along. We taxi out to the strip, decide to go for a circuit to check it out, then end up doing a few circuits anyway because the wind is to much for solo. So, after thousands of kilometers and thousands of dollars I am still waiting to go solo

BUT!!!!!!

Next weekend...... I am not working, the instructor is booked, the weather forecast looks promising and it seems that it is going to happen. I need 5 hrs of Solo. Don't tell my instructor this, but I am taking a jerry can up with me. I am not coming down until I have flown for at least 5 hrs

I guess what I am trying to say is, for me as a walking person it is hard enough to get it done, it must be 100 worse for you. We have one thing in common though. Neither one of us is giving it up soon by the looks of it.

Best of luck to you.

Cheers
