This looks like a lekker destination. Quite central and the hotel facilities on par with Numbi and Battlefields. (150 rooms and we'll forewarn them about the brandy)
A 2 night stop should be ideal. Just pity 3 days before Numbi, most of us using up our credits for that one.
Maybe get the local hotel to monitor there and see the potential.
Why not twice a year, should be awsesome flying around Rhodes and down to the coast.

Seems that I'm going to miss this. Attending AAD 2008 at Ysterplaat and off to Numbi the next week.

Hello Redroman
It would be nice to come back. Gaylord is missing the toilet in Aliwal.
Unfortunately we off to Numbi the next week so will have to give it a skip but maybe we will see you in December again.

Hi Redroman
Myself, Phillip and Dirk tried to get there last year but only got as far as Reddersburg when the proverbial paw paw hit the fan(anthill.)
We are going to give it a bash again this year wx permitting but are we going to see you guys on the weekend of the thirteenth for the sun and fun EAA convention in Bloem?
Madala and myself thought about getting as many as possible(20)? trikes together on the apron and show the locals that triking is still very much alive.We are currently 8 active members all flying windlass and aquillas and it will be great to have a couple of fellow aviators sharing experiences and ideas face to face.{Ons raak gatvol vir mekaar se stories}
Accomodation can be arranged amongst ourselves as well as transport so speak to BOATCH and the boys and swing those props.
Regards
Brian

No avgas will be available.Last year no one reguested avgas,reason being that we are very central and pilots can fly back easely on remaining fuel.People from Gauteng fill up in Bloemfontein and from the East London side fills up in Queenstown.Gariep dam also provides fuel for people coming from that side.
Hope to see you
