'CONTIES' Lucky Draw.

Postby Grumpy » Fri Sep 05, 2008 9:16 am

Guys I really wish not to offend anyone, but besides the few guys who have donated and some of them quite handsomely I feel the support has been poor. I understand things are generally tough, but imagine what it's like for the guys who have lost their planes.
May I suggest that if the tickets are a bit expensive, then get a mate to chip in half. Then the two families can take the 'weeks holiday'. The place can sleep 10+ Maybe make up a group. Challenge your mates anything !!
BUT TAKE A TICKET

Please all, help me drive this fundraiser.

Sawubona Mfwetu's,Leftseat is trying to teach me Zulu.  Gunther put me onto a language site to learn Afrikaans and although the pronunciation is K@K the spelling is bloody good, all you have to do is figure out what I am saying and that also goes for what I am about to say now. I am a 'Pom' as you call us from the land of Brit's and our Daughter and Grandson live in Phalaborwa.  We are selling everything so we are to come and live in the land where you say it is not the place for the weak hearted.  JetRanger tells me that this land you live in and feel so much for is a land where we stick together and be supportive to one another when the k@k hits the ceiling.  Well I am beginning to wonder if that is the case now and if this help thy neighbour isn't just a load of Oliphnt k@k.

Scream and shout abuse at me if you wish beacause what right have I to question those who look, read and fail to respond to a call for help.  "You are not South African and you don't even live here so you can fcuk right off mister".  I don't have a problem if you wish to say that to me, because you don't like what I am saying to you, just pay Grumpy (I'm sure he isn't) R1000 for ten tickets and I will 'Fcuk right off'.  Job done, okay. Leftseat forwarded an email to me that was sent to him showing more pictures of the disaster and also pictures of the people involved.  The looks on their faces was just heartbreaking but more heart breaking to me is the response from all their fellow microlighters.  Is it 340 or 400 hits now on Grumpy's lucky draw post.  Just have a look would you and then lets ask Grumpy how many raffle tickets have been purchased.

Come on you sad b@stards put your hands in your pocket. Grumpy is to polite to be rude, I #ucking ain't when the cause is right. Flying is like boating - it aint cheap to do - If you cannot afford R1000 for a good cause you shouldn't be flying or don't fly for a week and use the money you save to buy Grumpy's tickets. Some of the guys your helping can't fly at all now, not a question of just giving up for one week.

I believe I am right when I say that you South Africans feel proud of your country, proud of your race and proud of your strengths. Do you really want a an old fart like me from the UK to out bid you - where's yer pride man?

I am instructing FNB in Phalaborwa to transfer R1000 to Grumpy's Raffle. If I win, give the price to those who lost, if the raffle fails because of your reluctance to part with a miserable R1000 then give the money to those who will lose even more because you failed to help another. Don't let them down guys, don't let Grumpy and others who have given down and don't let yourself down.
