Vriendelik Groete people,

Have just found out that 'Pensioners' lost aircraft which will have devastated them as it would us. Just GR8 to see people working together for a common goal and ultimately helping older ones end their days in the air and not on the ground. !!!!

Roll up, Roll up, Hurryeeeeee Hurryeeeeeeee Hurryeeeee R100 a ticket - A bottle and a bit of Klipdrift so it is =D* =D*

Jaco (aka Koevoet) my friend, I know that you joke about being an "armchair pilot" but I think you have really made a wonderful and generous gesture and contribution! I hope you don't mind me sharing this with the guys - but Jaco is a member of the SAPS and his dedication to those around him goes "beyond the call of duty" as evidenced by the above! Jaco I know that it is your dream to have your "armchair" turn into a real microlight one day and I sincerely hope that this dream will turn into reality before too long! (^^) I'll be matching your contribution buddy

Good point Jaco

Dave Lehr and I make up half of Gyro Squadron 196. I challenge Jonathan Milrae and Paul Ackerman, the other half, to match or better our contributions!

vhpy vhpy vhpy

Three for me please, bought and paid for. Had the pleasure of flying over Conties once, looked like a lekker little field. Truly hope that the guys can raise enough to restore it to its former glory and that the lads affected are back in the air soon..

Good luck mates.. (**) (**) (^^) (^^) (^^) (^^)

Greetings Gentlemen,

Grumpy (I'm sure he is not) said at the beginning of this post quote "C'mon Guys if every microlighter takes A (That is A)ticket we can raise R210K.

Now then reader. Tell me honestly. Just how impressed are you with the response and have you contributed by buying a ticket?

I am not impressed at all. Seems to me there are many with short memories. May happen to you one day. Not going to voice my feelings again. Have already written that thread on 'Grumpys Lucky Draw Post'.

I thought South Africans were respected and known for sticking together in adversity!!! Or is it like everywhere else. Some do, some don't bother. Sad isn't it??

I am going to speak to my dad tonight and see if we can buy some tickets!
His heart is in the right place (sometimes, when I've stolen his ice-cream then it is not! ).
We are heading off on holiday and I am travelling alone with him so will try and get some tickets!
This is such a sad thing to happen!

I'll talk to our club accountant and see how many deposits have been made into the account. Many guys are not on this forum but are still contributing.

Thanks to all

Let's keep this running for a while.

Took 5 tickets. If I win (sorry Spud), sell the week to someone else and use the proceeds as well.
Good luck guys and good on you Grumpy!
