Price of petrol ?

Postby MYR » Sun Aug 31, 2008 10:01 am

This is a question of a foreigner :
How much is petrol in South Africa ?
Perhaps, some of you buy barrels of fuel for their ultralights ?
Is the liter of oil of one barrel less expensive or more expensive than retail in petrol stations ?

Currently R10 per liter. Equates to about $1.30 per liter or $5 per US Gal

I like very much injection engines !

And the barrel ?
Is one barrel less expensive or more than retail ?
I mean : one gallon of a barel you could buy is less expensive or more expensive than one gallon you can buy in a service station for cars ?

No Barrels...

The price of petrol is very ( over) regulated. Only a few sent cheaper
at the cost.

Comparison a bit wobbly.

Some load the fuel price to collect so-called road accident fund and 3rd party insurances, subsidise certain taxis and charge premium fuel price to farmers and industry which don't use the roads.
