No Revs & BAD feedback on Radio!

Hi Guys,

Please help if you can! My trike's rev counter starting jumping around the other day then - stopped working
Right after this happened I noticed that whenever my radio receives a radio call a loud and irritating crackling appears for while and then quiets down after a couple of seconds

What can I check or fix or have fixed or replaced??

Rotax 503 DI
Rotax Rev Counter
Vertex Radio

Do you have anything else electrical on the dash?

Check the power to the dash. Possibly the earth cable has come loose. It's the only thing I can think of that will be common between the radio and the rev counter
