Cali I tested the filter by adding a measured cup of water to the fuel and then measuring the residual water left in the funnel after filtering. With premix there was less water left over in the funnel indicating some had passed through the filter. I think this is due to the fact that the "premixed" fuel is hydroscopic to some extent and the "absorbed" H2O molecules are thus able to pass thru the filter. :?

After going on the website it all hangs on the microns on the filter used. It seems like a great product and I want to bring this in. Can everyone hang five and let me see the responses so I can get a bulk order in. I don't want to make money from this but when I see a product like this I want to make it available to everyone.

Since you are in the game, any chance you have contact in US of A who can assist in shipping one (maybe 2) of these here. No body ships to SA and the local boys want R12000+ for just the pump. I am on my 3rd manual one at R2000 a pop...

Aaah I see. Thanks for that Learjet. I drained my fueltank 3 weeks ago because I had some Castroll Supper TT fuel left, then it stood empty for 2 weeks before I refueled with my new Castroll Active 2T mixture. My first 3 fuel drains came out very milky (water) and I thought it was because of condensation in the empty tank. Now I know better. And I thought I was helping you guys out vhpy

I would also be interested in two (a big and small one.

I do not want to speak on behalf of Big G but I know that he has a container with two more GT's leaving the UK in a weeks time. We could load a box on it for free if we get it delivered to P & M Aviation.

Seems they are available locally (Nelspruit). Prices are higher than USA, but cheaper when adding shipping, customs, VAT etc for 1 at a time. Don't want to rain on your parade, so would be interesting to see what landed cost would be in comparison...

George,

Trust me if we can get them locally I am all for it. My intention was never to make any money on them but to help out our fellow flyers as I am in the transport game and could get better shipping/freight cost.

Any idea what they are charging?

I just found the following from Linex Yamaha in Randburg Jhb
Mr Funnel filters:
F15c R794.00
F8ncy R368.00
F3ncy R296

F15c = 15 gallons / min, double filter
F8nyc = 8 gallons / min, +- same size as F15c, but single filter
F3nyc = 3 gallons / min

They have stock

Apparently they only have 3 in stock but they will be speaking to their supplier for more and to also twist their arm for better prices. Oh well at least we don't have to worry about freight charges, vat and duties etc. However it was a worthwhile exercise and generated a lot of positive response.

Thanks guys.

Their phone number is 011 251 4029

Cheers
