Lydenburg Microlighters
Some two weeks ago the Microlight flyers of Lydenburg reached out to a selected group of children that needed exposure to the positive side of life.
This is the second year an event like this was organized.
The previous year, eight children were identified to be treated for a flip in a microlight.
Since then, two more pilots joined our ranks here in Lydenburg, and this year we were able to cater for 16 children.
The softnesses entertained the youngsters on hamburgers and snacks while waiting for their turn.
What a privilege it was to use our passion to uplift the moral of these youngsters, and experience their appreciation.
Attached a few fotos to show.

Maybe Chris Liebenberg from Lydenburg Microlighters can comment on how they did this?JetRanger wrote:

Re: Lydenburg Microlighters
Regarding indemnity, we drew up an indemnity form that covers us, the pilots, the organisers, the owners of the aerstrip and basically anything that can go wrong. In the form we made it clear that microlight flying is inherent dangerous, but that we would do our part to ensure everything is OK.
We briefed the children before the flying started regarding safety on the ground (spinning props, and so on) and what to do if any of the aircraft developes an engine failure.
The circuit that we flew with the children was basically an orbit around our beautiful little town, and we instructed all pilots to stick to a clock wise circuit, and not circeling above Pax's houses, to avoid crossing each others flight paths.
Thanks to the Great Lord for his mercy, everything went extremely well that day. No incidents. Just fun!

Nice one guys!!
Re: Lydenburg Microlighters
Well done Guys,
I like the picture of the two Tannies doing the preparation of food. They and many more like them are usually the unseen unheard and usually longest working members of such an excercise. They deserve a big round of applause, because all they normally get out of it, is a "thankyou"
To them and all like them I say " Well Done we all really appreciate what you are doing".
Kind regards,
Gunter Rostek.

I'm with Grostek and Grumps!
I thinks us Capies should do that.
It would be worthwhile to share our love with others and also get more Microlit pilots into the world!
