How "Private" is The Coves?

Postby old no 7 » Sun Aug 03, 2008 10:50 am

Hello All,
Can somebody please help me?
I have family out from Ireland for a month.
They are renting a house in Pecan wood.
I would like to base my gyro close-by for a weekend and take them for flips.

What are the chances of landing and taking them for flips from The Coves?
I am willing to pay!!

Regards
Glen

Doubt you have much luck. Just spent close on a BAR on upgraded security system. If any outstanding even residents are treated like guests and will def not let you trailer it in. If you fly in you have to have resident sign you in and out? I am unfortunately not there for the hols else we could have made a plan...

If I had hangar finished would be no problem, but they are now wanting huge bucks (ridiculously huge) for the hangar ground and "services" so that looks like after 2 years we hurry up and wait some more

Try Aeroden, Aviators or Vultrure Creek (Johan). Vultrure creek is 4km west of Coves and I think he may have hangar space. Don't have his number with me at moment... (^^)

Dont Pfaff about the coves. Just over the ridge is Aviators paradise and Aeroden. Im sure Dale (ap) or Basie (aeroden) would accomodate you for a month... try them - they welcome new okes all the time..

Best bet is Aeroden, basie and Linda, 4 miles from the Coves
I think it has new owners. There is a bosbok hangared there now and I am looking at possible hangar there as I am getting soooo much K@K at Coves

Thanks Basie,
I see my drinking reputation and appetite has preceded me

I'm not looking at hangarage for the whole month, maybe only two nights over some weekends in August.
Thank you for the offer, I will certainly give you a call.
Regards
Glen
