Powerfly that's not true. I and Velocity (on this forum) and many other skydivers have jumped out of plenty trikes with the engine running. It can be done safely and you don't need to switch the engine off.
The skydiver who lost a hand (he's a CPL and microlight pilot/owner now) admitted that his timing was out as he misunderstood the pilot's instructions. Don't criticise or call people stupid if you don't know the story.

Mine has the pull start on the mast and it can be reached from the front seat, I have used it to start a warm 503 but starting a cold engine requires a full body pull and very difficult to do that from a sitting position.Tailspin wrote:
