Help needed from Cape Town Micro pilots

Postby The Agent » Wed Jul 23, 2008 7:22 pm

I need some names of pilots who would not mind being interviewed by our specialist on social and economical impact for the developement of the Malmesbury Aviation Estate.
Obviously I do not need people to try and shoot it down, I personally cannot find any negative motives as ACSA as well as ATNS and SACAA have given their approval, what we need are some positive people in aviation especially those who hanger at Cape Town International.
With the new developement we are giving you the a/c owner a chance to have his or her home and hanger on the same piece of land and surely that must be cheaper than the current rental, ATNS fees as well as the ACSA fees currently paid at CTI.
We will pick some guys at random so I will need your email addresses so I can send you some prospectus material on the developement.
I have done the same on AvCom for blik pilots.
The whole village will be made a secure area, so even if you are not an a/c owner but an aviation nut there are stands available which are not linked to the taxi way network.
I am showing the Site Developemet Plan as it is currently and only a few minor changes will be made.
We will have municipal water supplied from Malmesbury and Eishkom power to the village with certain limitations like sun power geysers and other power saving devices.
We will also have our own sewer network and a water purifing system on site where the exess water ( Clean ) can be reused on the grass areas.
The village will have one entrance only where security will be based.
Any one buying into the area aviator or not will have to sign a doc where he or she cannot complain about a/c noise, we will have certain limitations.
If you one day sell your property the same will apply re the a/c.
Please send me a PM or email re this matter. graham@coopers.co.za The aviation stands are 1600m2 in size and the non aviation stands are 1000m2.
There are also anumber of eco stands ranging from 3000 m2 to 5000 m2
Please put forward any questions to me and I will try and give the correct answer.
Graham Cooper

The drawing does not want to up load and if I make it any smaller you will see nothing so once have the guy's for the interview I will forward a readable size to you.

Thans in advance for your help guys.

Damn good question

WCMC has about 120 members all microlighters. This covers Morning Star, Conties, Grootfontein and Goedverwagcht

Then you have Fisantekraal and Wintervogel and Saldanha

NOTE: Sticky done for 1 month

Hmm - dont think you gonna find many of those here

Agent, without seeming to be negative to your cause, but is there a statement as to who would be welcome at this estate. Unfortuntaley these estates, from my small miniscule experience, which may count for less than naught, can sometimes become microlight unfriendly pretty quickly.

So perhaps something that could be built in or addressed from the outset so no discrimination to what types of aviation are welcome and addressed in the environmental impact assessment.

Believe me when I say all forms of aviation are welcome.

The developer of the scheme has a Cobra trike, and surely he is not going to allow to be left out of the fun and games.

This new Estate will be open for all aviators, even if you don't want to live out there hangerage for rental will be avaiable.

Sad to say I will also be joining all the capies down there BUT me shout for WP never boet never.
So I have decided to support the rugby boys from Wellington, just for one reason they make damn good Brandy.

I will post another photo or artist impression just to give you an idea of what it will look like a few years from now.

Sorry about the small photo but my copy is high resolution and I am to dof to make it big and still get it to fit, born BC.

Always maintained and argued with the spouse that we should sell the house and buy a bigger aircraft. After all you cant fly a house, but you can live in a hangar.

I would say the stands large enough and connected to the taxi way system will be from R1.2 to about R950 000.00

As soon as our costing is complete i will ad vise. (^^)
