In Dubai International Airport waiting for my 13h30 connection to Jeddah. Thank goodness for WiFi!

Had a k@k flight and didn't get much sleep. Hoping to meet up with my mate who flies for Saudi Arabian Airlines tonight in Jeddah. I know that it won't be strips, beer and smoked pork ribs

Finished in Jeddah and quite thankful to be in Dubai with a bit more of a "western" influence. The weather here is still as hot but with added discomfort of the humidity. 2 days here and then back home!!

spent a week in Jeddah not too long ago - had the best beef spare ribs ever - doesn't taste the same without beer or wine though - however, vowed to never ever ever return to Jeddah, argggghhh :x

Waiting for Friday and Saturday's airshow... sounded like the first Silver Falcon Astra streaked over my house! Awesome sound!

In Joburg and already been out to Rietfontein to check out their cabbage patch. Got a very warm welcome and was promptly handed a beer, and another and another. Thanks Demon, Ratman and Trix. I had only been in Joburg 30 minutes and this is the type of welcome that anyone can expect from the Rietfontein Gang!

I am up here until Sat morning so for those who want the details of the get-together are:-

Wednesday, 09th July 2008
19h00
Colony Arms

See you all there!
