Gauteng-Margate return over 2 days

Postby t-bird » Mon Jun 16, 2008 9:38 pm

On Monday the 9 June 2008 the weather forecast was perfect for the weekend that lay ahead.

I was weighing up different trips and by Wednesday I have made the decision that it would be Margate Saturday and back on Sunday.

725 km on Saturday and 730 km on Sunday with the pictures and story

Murphy was playing his roll before take off with the valve on my front wheel stuck.
Take off was delayed by 1 hour 45 minutes

Looks fantastic T-bird.
Come on Gyronuts, what about a similar trip?
Maybe spread over a few more days though.

I have to agree that you need a few more days
1 day Margate
2 Kei Mouth – Browns landing
3 Barkley east – Margate
4 Back in Midrand

I try to fly every week with a long trip once a month.
If you guys are interested I will post the next trip on the forum. It will probably be to a game farm near Ellisras or a trip to Mapumalanga.
