For real?
I received this photo via e-mail as part of an action photo collection. Can this be for real?

Re: For real?
Dont think it is real-look at the head of the person at the other plane,he is not even looking this side.
Re: For real?
Was real. There was a discussion on AvCom about it some time back which included more photies and the story behind it.

Avcom link?
What was the outcome? Looks real to me...the pilot is even raising his hand in front of his face.

Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints

I know what it sounds like
amazing how much dust settles on the floor of your plane, only to cover your face in an event like this

Re: For real?
Yip! had a similar experience many moons ago while still training at Rino with uncle Cyril. It is still one of my wifes favourite stories to tell when people find out that I fly those "small" little flimsy planes.

Re: For real?
Yes it is very real, I'll try to find the post. In this case I do believe the front fork broke.
It is a surreal experience, you are merely a passenger waiting for it to end. Fortunately I had very good shoulder harnass seatbelts.

Why did they build the field at Altona crosswind? Maybe so that one can practice the landings?
