What are the costs of the resort or is it numbers dependant?

Do you guys have an active Round Table there?

How many people would be interested in doing such a fly-in?

Will have to start planning for next year...... arrangements with CAA?

The Aliwal Spa resort can faciletate for hundreds of people - as seen with the Buff Rally esspecialy for camping sites. From the airfield to the Spa - about 5km.As with the fly-in we had a bus taking people to town on a regular basis.Transport not a problem. We had security guards watching all the planes at night.I think costs will be numbers dependant.Maybe part of the planing must include pre registering for all participints. This sort of questions will all be part of the planing.I know Aliwal is very central for all and that is one of the reasons the Buff is so keen for this town.If this event is well planed i think the airfield will be to small to accomadate all the aircraft !!!????Joke, but that will be the response.

I think that we have to plan a date for all of the interested people that wants to help org this event,to come together at some time and get this off the ground.Maybe we should launch a topic under Hanger talk for possible National fly-in 2009 Aliwal North and see what the response will be concerning the planning of this event and how many people will be willing to take hands.

We have a very active Round Table and we can definately get them to help.

The city people will love this and at the end of the this event will be hosted for the love of this sport and for all the guys that loves the air and wants to fly.

Been at the buffalo there & popped a wheelie or 2 down the main street. we have to involve some roleplayers of this forum - the sticky is that funds are going to be generated and how this is going to be utilised thereafter. If we do it for the love of our passion then say a microlighters trust fund with set guidelines etc. eg. the funding of microlighters website, charity etc. time for a sticky and hereby ask the moderators to pin it up top!
