Cant login to the test site - my username has funny characters appended to it.
Could perhaps have something to do with the coallition of the underlying blank database you are creating before import. If not examine the dump you have done from the live data to see if that is where the characters are being appended.
Avatars - if you get it right - well done. Also watch for large attachments with IE7 users - they tend to crash the margin into the user info box. phpBB did away with tables in v3 and has caused this problem, along with a a few other bits they have done in order to be XHTML compliant. One that bugs me is that links to other sites no longer open in a new window.
Also assume you are testing with new version release week before last - v3.0.1 Gets rid of some of the login issues and speeds up the site a bit with better caching of avatars and streamlining processes in viewforum.php etc.
Version 3 test site - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ AND PARTICIPATE
