True, it's not stored anywhere on the magstripe of the card. The only way they could have achieved this is to go into the bank, pretend to be you and change the PIN.

I had a GPS stolen from me at the airfield one sat during a braai. There was this white character who frequented the airfield on an old scooter. (nothing unusual, lots of people use them) Every day I was there he would arrive and chat to me. Eventually we had this braai and we offered him a boerie roll and a cooldrink. Later I discovered my GPS gone. A week later he was back at the airfield, but now avoiding me like the plague, talking to other guys in other hangars. I warned them all and since then he has never come back.

The sad part is that one man`s dream of owning and flying his OWN aeroplane has been crushed. Obviously like some of us he had to save up to be able to achief his goal. This sort of shit is unforgivable. I must come and teach you guys what can be done with ordinary fish hooks. Soft target my ass, but I can not come to live in the big places. Will probably land in jail, because I will most definately NOT be a soft target.

STOLEN

Postby BOATCH » Fri Apr 04, 2008 11:28 am

Sorry for your loss and if they find the people take them and trim there fingers with a 6000rpm prop. I wonder if you could run a tv fridge and some other elekt apl from a rotex a bit expesive but if they get it free . Ihope they remember the crank replacemint so for the stupid out there put the motor back it is cheaper to use suzuki motors

Stolen engine

Postby Wagenaar » Fri Apr 11, 2008 1:24 pm

Thanks everybody for your continuing support!

I'm afraid nothing has turned up to date. Together with my one neighbour, who also got nailed, we've commissioned a Private Investigator who only started working yesterday.

Somebody asked about the prop. I had a new cowling made up for the new engine (the old cowling which came off the original 503 was to small). So the brand new 3 bladed Warp Drive prop was removed whilst the new cowling was in the process of being fitted, and is still sitting safely at home! My inclination was to leave the prop in the hangar but my installation engineer insisted that I take it home!

Engine serial Nr: 6504552
Engine type: ROTAX 582 UL-99 (Blue Top)

Unfortunately I don't have serial numbers for the stolen instruments

Please everybody - keep 'em peeled!

I actually hope the Moron starts the engine without a prop or whatever and it go's bang and the piston inbeds itself in his gut.

Just my sentiments for this person.

I heard there is something called a drop-zone in the delta 200 area close to the parachute club. When we find this oak we must go and test it out.
