We invite all microlighters to fly in from 06:30am. A landing fee of R50 will be charged which includes breakfast, coffee and tee. The field is located aprox 2nm north of Henley on Klip airfield, GPS Coordinates - S26deg34min15sec, E28deg4min20sec. There will be no ATC until 9am; frequency - specials east 125.400, I'll post runway headings and circuit details shortly. Please confirm attendance for breakfast fly in by no later than 5 May for catering purposes.
For those who cannot fly in, bring the family, entrance R30 per car. Entertainment includes jumping castles, flea market stalls, beer tent, heli flips etc. Mazda Zlins and Snake Microlight Team will display during the day. Find the poster to the event and a photo of our airfield attached.

Hi RV4ker,
Main tar runway is 300m long, will only be available until 9am after which the model airshow will start. We are planning to grade another 300m runway for the microlight guys so you can fly in and out as you wish without interfering with the main airshow. We will however have ATC from 9am as some of the models, especially jets and pylon racers, eat up a lot of airspace very quikly! How long do you need?
Rgrds,
Skinner.

Excellent Demon
, would be great to see the GT450's in action, we can even arrange a slot during the main Airshow should you guys want to show off your pride and joy. Let me know if you're interested and what timeslot you'll prefer.
RV4ker, there is an alternative for the guys requiring a bit more runway. Henley Mircolight Airfield is just 2 or 3km up the road. I'll have a chat to the owner, if he's OK with it you can land there, I'll arrange for transport to and from the model airfield. I'll get back to you regarding the length of their runways, I've landed there plenty times and I'm almost sure it's more than 450m.

Re: Henley Aero Modelers Fun Day, Airshow & Fly In - 10 May
Just a reminder of the Henley Aero Modelers Airshow next weekend. We've had confirmation from the following former/current national aeromodeling champions who will display during the day - large scale aerobatics, turbine jets, helicopters, fun fly & control line. In addition to this there will be warbirds, pylon racing, old timers and gliders in action. We also have one of the 5 new Slick 360's flying in for a full scale display. Demon & Big G also agreed to entertain us with their GT450's - thanks again guys! The Snake Team will close the day with a display at 4pm. Please confirm if you are interested in having breakfast with us from 7am. We're throwing in complimentary hats to all pilots having breakfast, the R50 donation will go towards our runway fund. Coordinates - S26,34,12 ; E28,04,09, please keep to the west of the airfield @ 6000ft, 125.400, active runway before 9am is 01R;19L tar surface. We're busy preparing another gravel runway 28R;10L should some of you want to stick around for the main airshow.
Kind Regards,
Mike Skinner.

Hi Guys,
With the unpredictable weather we have extened the deadline for pilots to confirm if they are flying in for breakfast. Please notify me by Thursday 06 May if you plan to have breakfast with us as we need to finalize the catering requirements. We'd also like to get your details so we can apply some form of ATC.
Cheers,
Mike Skinner.
