Fuel injected 912 Trike

Postby Junkie » Thu Sep 15, 2005 1:39 pm

Heres some pics / info on a locally designed Fuel injection system fitted to a standard 912 driving a Trike (DTA) that i managed to get last night

Some Scant details on the system
Opel Corsa Fuel injectors mated to Rotax manifold
An aftermarket control unit and mapping done by one of out local flyers who alos did his BMW rig.
Made own airbox and fittings
Uses 2x Fuelpumps and filters

Sorry the pics are not too clear as I used my Phone camera and owner of the Trike wasnt avaialbale at the time to get more tech info
Will try to get better pics and info on this

I believe this baby is really smooooooth and puts out some useful horses

:)

Would like to get some more info on this one - we will need to do something similar next year to a Rattex to assist with inverted fuel supply. Only problem of course, is that the new engine warranty immediately disappears into thin air

Keep us posted!

ianrw,

* some clearer pics would be great...
* Is the fuel injection system redundant?
* What % power improvement does he forcast?
* Are spares readily available?
* How well does the system handle hot starts?
* I presume that the mixture control is automatic?
* What is the kit selling price?
