My "Jenya" wingsail and windlass wingframe with 503 engine does 70mph - bar hooked in under my
ribbcage at full power. Hangpoint in the middle - If I moved it forward
I would probably get another 5mph. Same wing with 582 would probably
do 80mph. Replace the sail with more ridged stuff would add a bit more speed. Who knows what it would do with a 912 and a sleek fairing.
So what it all this fuss about?

Hi Guys

I see some think we where joking, sorry to disappoint you but it took some time to build this Thunderbolt ST nr.1 and we are still not done with the 582 Whirlwind. The Thunderbolt ST will do its first flight before end of next month so let’s see. Yes I will still do the record attempt but with the Thunderbolt ST. I hope the ferry tales are over and some enjoy these photos! These two are coming and it’s not so far now.

Hi Boer

We are not going for 80m/ph or 100m/ph, we are going for 120m/ph +

Looking good Alex

What wing are you planning to use?
Any idea of the total weight?
What are you using for the rear suspension?

Alex,
I must complement you on taking on this venture. I have said before that we (South Africans) are a very innovative bunch and that there is nothing you can't do if you put your mind to it.

If you need help in any way just ask - I think that you will find all the skills you need on this forum.

It looks like you got the undercarraige sorted - If you need some info on some advanced resins for the fairing let me know.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Griffin

It’s also a total new wing “Topless” Done for us by Mr. Jenya himself. The weight will be round 180 to 200 kg before all the extras we are putting in that sells with her. For the rear suspension we are using a mild steel wish bone suspension and aluminum chock. I hope its answering your questions for you. 8)

Looks cool

Now put an Air Creation wing (Ixess) on and you might just have a winner
