Does a/c value stay $ related?

Postby bergdwerg » Tue Mar 04, 2008 3:03 pm

Hi
Just wondering, well known brands like Kitfox, Titan, Sonex, Savannah etc, will its value be cuppled to the dollar. I don't say it might be a investment, but every year the price of any kit seems to jump with 15k +.
Just as you think its within your reach, somebodyxxx somewhere AGAIN, powersharing etc thats weakening the rand.Should have bitten the bullet last year, now what i want is 45000 more. And, will a well known brand sell easy abroad through internet?

I assume the GT450 would be as they are Euro/or GBP based. What pisses me off is they all quick to adjust upwards when the R:$ goes west, but when it recovers the prices remain the same.

I think it uncommon to import a trike (as I say excl. GT450), but if this becomes more common place it will be related to exchange rates. Many local boys also factor in the "import cost". As EG have a look at what bliks go for in SA vs USA for eg. There is often a largish descrepancy when R:$ is done....

I think with the 3-axis light compsites such as CTSW, STING, SAMBA, TOPAZ etc... the Euro has made a serious difference.
