I just want to add this picture to Gert's post of the journey to Vredendal.
I will get round to adding my recollections of the flight.
Gert, Trygve and Peter are great guys to have around.

Had a nice flip with Pol (I think). Very smooth to the coast, and then a south westerly blasting at 20mph. Up to 1500 ...2000 and a smooth ride back. Pol has a fear of heights and did very well. Except for the clasping bit. Looking forward to take him up again.

15 outlandings in just over 2 hours. Loved every moment. A hot day! At 2000 feet 36 degrees C. Here and there bumpy, with a northerly wind.

The "names" are either the wellknown name, or the closest feature I could find on map.

On the subject of tyres, I have just got two new ones to fit. Well the guys at Tiger Wheel & Tyre Braamfontein really battled. The rims I've got are not the split type and they are of a light-weight sort of cast iron type of material. I was very worried about damaging the rims The tyres are tubeless, but the valve holes in the rims are too small. So we get two tubes, guess what - they don't fit either. Well it's back to the supplier with an old tube as a sample. I have also enlisted the help of a local bike shop to take over the job as they are more familiar with these smaller funny size rims.
The saga continues..

Where do you guys (and girl) have your .....uhm.....RAMs mounted? Can one fit it to the washout tube without risking a spectacular videotaped crash?
