Hi Rudi

Us farmers here in the Loskop valley are a thirsty bunch, so when the rain stops we start pulling our life blood from the dam. That is also why it is such a lovely area to fly over because it is always green summer or winter. In summer it gets hot as hell but in winter you can fly almost every day, all day. With 2 air fields and a whole bunch of private strips at an elevation of around 3000 foot this is a grate fly in destination. Looking for places to land and sleep over http://www.raasblaar.co.za or http://www.carpediemgamelodge.co.za (They ought to pay me for this add.)

Cheers '<*>'

Hi Henni

Ditto, thanks, we stayed at both, one night at the one, the other night at the other one...long story! Both runways are more than enough for microlights 700m+ . In addition groblersdal airfield is also very friendly with lots of kukuyu grass, you can camp under you wing as well there. I think they have a shower and toilet.

Regards
Rudi

Hey Rian...you should have popped into Maritzburg, then at least we could have had a coke!!! I finished my last drop at about 5pm, and then, as you know, I could not find my darn keys!!! I got home at midnight, after smashing the rear window of my car to get in (and the darn keys were not even in the car) and then R500 later a locksmith says "your key sir" Very, very funny  (and I still have to pay for a back window).

Anyway, just as well I asked Brett to host you guys, considerning the way things turned out .....

Sorry I missed you.....next time.. even though I get to fly all over the place, very often, I still dreamed along while looking at your photos.

Well done to you guys for 'just doing it'...........

Cheers.
