Hi All,
Im brand spanking new to this forum and have reviewed a few topics but am struggling to get what im looking for, so here goes..
i currently have my fixed wing Commercial license with just over 200 hours. im quite keen to do an MPL to do a bit of FUN flying
Would any of my commercial hours count for an MPL and if so how many?
Thanks a lot.

Where you based?
At moment it a simple convex and should not take more than 5hrs. In Jan there is new legislation although i am told it will still be a convex I am not convinced it would be that easy. There is mass confusion. If I were you I would get it done ASAP, but def before 1/1/08.

But, yes, its only a conversion and there is no hour limit to doing it. Once your instructor is happy with your flying skills, he will sign your logbook, conversion form etc.
If you want to do weight-shift (trike) MPL the law is still the same, but we used to ask people to do 3 hours of supervised solo, and also write a principles of flight and airlaw exam. These things are not compulsory, but highly recommend.
