Me and my wife also discussed it so she settled for me rather to fly than to have save sex with other women. Either you know how to bargain or not.

End well, all well.
Growing old is far more dangerous than flying !!!

DieselFan wrote:It's interesting that your wives are so concerned about safety yet imo are mislead, I agree with Miskiet on this one. Before doing anything I try to do loads of research, my wife trusts my judgement and in terms of safety I wouldn't fly if I or her thought and found it dangerous.
I think sometimes that our wives look pass the fact of how safe a trike can be or how good your judgements are. In my case i know my wife deeply love me and dont want to loose me, but she also dont want to keep my dreams from me.

When i first started posting messages on this board earlier this year, the most heartbreaking sub forum was the one on Accident and incident reports. If my wife have to read all of those topics then flying is a BIG NO NO
Miskiet wrote:99% of the fatalities that occured in microlighting has been pilot error
I'm VERY sure that i will take great care when flying in the near future, but why are there 99% pilot error fatalities?
Miskiet wrote:I'm amazed that some people have no issues with their kids riding quadbikes (deathtraps) but yet are dead set against trikes.
My kids ride quads all the time and the way you feel about Quadbikes (deathtraps) is the same that some quad owners feel about trikes. The person in control must be learned to RESPECT the quad or trike they busy operating :!:

Bad drivers/pilots give quads/bikes/microlights a bad name......

I am still about, but spending 6hours a day on the road then still have to get the job done what I set out to do does take its toll.

As for the wife, I get to fly because otherwise I am a right real miserable twat around the house. I get told - you'd better go fly tomorrow because I cannot stand you moping like this! Don't get home too late!

Who will be going to Crosswinds on Saturday? I have some consolation prizes that I am planning to hand deliver. Wife will follow in the car with GPS.

Um??? Scuse me, dont mean to pop the bubble, but is this thread the missing in action thread, or is it in fact the "my wifes views on flying" thread??/ :D

Just Kidding, but I do have an opinion on both..

1. Where the hell is RUDIX

2. The softness, like all softnesses I suppose, cares about y/Our wellbeing and therefore will have her 2c. Personally mine supports the flying, but suggests (very strongly) that i phone as soon as i land so that she can stop worrying. Exactly like I am meant to do when I ride motocross or any other sport. Its very similar to the way i ask her to phone to confirm that she is safe, if she has to be out at night... its just courtesy and because she gives a crap... god forbid, you wouldnt want her to leave this planet for some arb reason.... she doesnt want you to go either..

so right - now the sermons finished, we will sing from the blue hymn book...

:D :D :D :D :D

I can understand that maybe about 40 % of members would prefer to just sit back and read, but 80%?
This is well within spec of on-line forums, I started a couple myself and they were the same, nothing to be surprised about, nothing to spill drink over.

Big D is taking a break. He'll be back sometime.
Fairy Flycatcher is a very busy lady. Getting to grips with things after Nationwide Airlines imploded. She'll be back once the dust has settled.
