The visibility was unbelievable. This picture was taken from Midrand and you could see the Johannesburg CBD in the back ground.

Still a lot of power left. The manifold pressure is at 31 inches. This is the cruise setting. Can push it up to 39 inches.
I enjoy low and slow more. I was cruising at 30 mph over the Limpopo.
It was quite easy to put it in a hover and look at the game.

Very envious t-bird. Nice. Its great to see you guys doing so many fly aways. We just had to cancel waterberg due to wind this weeeknd etc, man i cant take this crap anymore....
Microlights are great fun but only when the weather paly along....

Don't look "lekker" to me although the detail is somewhat abstract.

Maximum Exhaust Gas Temperature 950ºC / 1742ºF
Normal Exhaust Gas Temperature 900ºC / 1652ºF


Within limits
EGT is less than 800 degrees. There is a difference of about 40 degrees between the 2 probes. Carbs maybe need some balancing.

Where do you hangar ? How long is your strip? I have a 380m strip near Bluehills, but the question is, is it long enough for an MT03 ????

Your strip is about 280m long enough for almost any gyro.

100m runway and another 100m unobstructed to accelerate in griynd effect should be plenty.

Impressive performance T-Bird. Makes flying such a pleasure! For interest sake, What machine is it? How much weight were you carrying - Pax+fuel? Rotor size? Rotor RPM? the picture isnt clear enough for me to work it out.

The strips that we operate from are shorter, but not advisable.
No room for error.
If your choke get stuck or density altitude or heavy pax or pitch not set correct or zero wind or dirty air filter or rotor brake not fully disengage will make you sweat.
