Hi fellow aviators
Rudigreyling suggested that we need some clearer guidelines here, to make sure we do not step on each others toes and lose the purpose of this forum.
1. Each topic should contain only once concept to be debated. Try to not get distracted. If one topic leads to another, great, but then post it separately, or allow the moderators to move it to its own topic.
2. Topics should only relate to legislative and administrative issues, CAR, CATS, MISASA, AeroClub, DOT, CAA.
3. Try to answer with solutions. Even if something is not workable, say it any case, because it might trigger talk which leads to a more practical solution.
4. Once the debate has reached some level of understanding, one of the moderators can add a poll. If you feel that a poll should be added, please pm any of the moderators to do it for you.
Lets find solutions, come up with the correct wording for the different laws, support our thoughts with facts and get this through CARCOM.
If you can get more people on this forum, great. Every new head is filled with new ideas, and very often, its the new ideas which are the breakthroughts.
Try and respect each others opinions. By this I mean take them seriously and learn from them. You can learn something from everyone. When I lecture PPL groundschool, the most idiotic sounding questions sometimes leads to the most enlightment, for me, and my students.

Re: How to make this forum-section work for us.
I have asked for the MISASA Forum to be unlocked so that all can post topics and respond to topics, as is the case, for instance, with the Hangar Talk Forum. I am charged with the MISASA communications portfolio which includes the magazine and the MISASA websites. The www.misasa.co.za website is an information website where you can leave comments on notices. There you will find information on how to learn to fly etc. Yes there will, from time to time, be overlap, but that is what conversations are, for it is but meetings ( and information websites) that should have agendas.
We value the opportunity afforded us by this forum to communicate with you and we look forward to your offers of assistance.
