MISASA meet at Panorama
Hi folk, does anybody know where one can obtain info about what was discussed at the meeting? Like minutes? Sadly I could not make it. Did anybody on this forum go? Was the LSA - part 62 discussed?

A bit about the meeting ...
There was a small attendance of only 18.
Reports from each portfolio were presented.
Fees for 2008 were discussed and a decision will be made by the committee on that shortly.
A decision about putting a bid in to host the 2011 Worlds will be made by the committee soon.
There is a need to have another instructors seminar particularly with Part 62 being promulgated shortly. This to be discussed in more detail.
Changes to the MISASA constitution; changing the name to THE MICROLIGHT AND LIGHT SPORT AEROPLANE ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA (still MISASA) and a paragragh about managing the bank account (thanks to Skybound).
The LSA section of Part 62 should be in place early next year.
Part 24 needs some work done on it to sort out the maintenance issues. (suggestions welcome).
The magazine was discussed and Trixie promised to make good on her promise to deliver the 6 magazines. Next year MISASA members will be encouraged to subscribe directly to African Skies magazine.
The Trike team competition trophy won by the SA team in the Czech Republic was on display.
The new MISASA committee are
Chairman - Mike Blyth
Treasurer - Robert Gassmann
Development - Louis Jordaan
Events - Rob McFie
Competitions - Rob Gooch
Training and Licencing - Geoff Dyer
PRO - Jay Hyde
Technical - Rowena Kraidy
Safety - Alex Rudd
Shadow Training & Licencing - Deon Kraidy
Shadow Development - Martin Woldt
Persons to help and later possibly co-opted onto the committee:
Trixie Heron - web page and later the MISASA e-News
Alan Mckenzie - MISASA e-News (and advise on the web page)
